Hi, we're #SheDIDIT
Impact driven incubator for diverse womenpreneurhship
Where diversity meets
womenpreneurship
#SheDIDIT has been on a mission since 2018 to create an inclusive space for diverse womenpreneurs. We’re a Belgium-based non-profit focused on womenpreneurs from diverse cultural backgrounds. Through business coaching, and access to workshops and networking events, our members join a community of powerhouses. As an inclusive incubator supporting female founders, we’re working toward a space where diversity meets womenpreneurship.
More of a backstory. You might be wondering: why the focus on women from diverse cultural backgrounds? As an entrepreneur herself, our founder Lien saw how women of color (WoC) had less access to the traditional playfield for entrepreneurs. The talent wasn’t lacking, nor their motivation, yet WoC had limited access to coaching, networking, knowledge, or entrepreneurial organizations.
When we started in 2018, we focused on ‘the image of an entrepreneur’ through the power of storytelling. By sharing stories and role models, we quickly grew our community. Through challenging the status quo, we aspired to create more seats at the traditional table, but it wasn’t big enough. We made our own, and seats will never run out.
Today we offer coaching programs, spaces, and workshops to support and guide womenpreneurs in their journey. We tackle the (un)known barriers and work on achieving goals; we focus on business and personal growth. Diversity is seen as a strength, not a threshold. Why not use tools and motivations from different perspectives/cultures to strengthen your belief as an entrepreneur? Even though we focus on a niche audience, that doesn’t mean that other women are automatically eliminated; everyone is welcome if they align with our mission: where diversity meets womenpreneurs.
Our impact reports
ROI SheMeansBusiness
For the first time, #SheDIDIT has commissioned IDEA Consult to calculate the economic value of its support services. At a time when subsidy budgets are being cut, it is enlightening to gain insight into the actual impact of a specific organization or program—and not just in words, but in the hard language of money: euros saved and euros generated.
This study is unique of its kind and breaks new ground in the field of business coaching. Like others, we measure our impact in terms of hard skills, soft skills, and survival rates after one and five years. However, given the observation that 40–50% of the women with a migration background who come to #SheDIDIT were not active in the labor market prior to launching their businesses, we wanted to determine the actual economic value—in terms of saved benefit payments, tax contributions, and job creation—that this generates for Belgium.

SheFUND Impact Study
Thanks to support from EMN’s Maria Nowak Fellowship programme, #SheDIDIT—in collaboration with Alessandra Cavallo from the University of Bologna—was able to have the impact of the SheFUND programme specifically evaluated. The study details the effects that both the loans and the guidance have had on participants. It covers the microfinance provided in partnership with microStart and Funds For Good Impact, as well as the focus on skills such as financial literacy and pitching, alongside the supporting network and coaching.
